Junior Secondary School

This covers Grades 7 - 9 and follows the Kenyan National Competence-Based Curriculum (CBC).  Classes start at 8am with a break for lunch and the school day ends at 4pm.

 

Students study a combination of core and optional subjects. Core subjects include English, Kiswahili (or Kenyan Sign Language), Mathematics, Integrated Science, Health Education, Pre-Technical and Pre-Career Education, Social Studies, Religious Education, Business Studies, Agriculture, Life Skills Education, and Sports and Physical Education. Students may also choose optional subjects like Visual Arts, Performing Arts, Home Science, Computer Science, or other languages. 

Science equipment, laptops & library resources are provided by the school.

Every day, all children receive a free cooked school meal at lunchtime thanks to a generous Christian donor in the United Kingdom. 

 

MPEC staff are qualified to teach Junior Secondary School level and are dedicated to your childs academic progress and personal development with the aim of providing students with a strong foundation for moving on to Secondary School.
